The Colosseum is open 7 days a week and is closed on 1st January and 25th December.
Admission to the Colosseum is free to everyone on the first Sunday of each month. Tickets, however, must still be reserved and access is limited to the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Imperial Fora and Palatine Hill.
Visitors may not access the Colosseum arena and underground areas, the Farnese Aviaries, the Curia Iulia, the House of Augustus, Santa Maria Antiqua, the Ramp of Domitian, Oratory of the Forty Martyrs, the Temple of Romulus, Neronian Cryptoporticus, Aula Isiaca with Loggia Mattei and the Palatine Museum.
