When you reach the ticketing page on the official website of the Colosseum, you will get to choose between individual tickets, guided tours and group or school tickets.
After you click on the type of experience you're interested in, you will see the full range of options, like combo tickets as well as ones that include the Arena, the Underground or the Belvedere, along with tickets for night visits (guided tours only).
After choosing the ticket you wish to buy and clicking on "Purchase" below its description, you will be taken to a page where you will need to choose the number of participants, the date and the time.
If a day is greyed out, it means that tickets are not yet available for sale or that it's a day with free entrance. If it's sold out, it will show a ticket with a red line across it, whereas if the writing's in black, you will be able to select it and pick a time slot.
The time slots will be greyed out if they are sold out, and black if available. If there aren't many tickets left for sale, it will show the remaining number in yellow. After picking the time, you will need to select the number and types of tickets that you wish to buy.
